HomeMy WebLinkAbout2023-03-21 Public hearing I l.a NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROJECT AND ESTIMATED AQUATIC CENTER MANUAL& SCANLON GYM FILED COST FOR THE MERCER PARK EXTERIOR ACCESSIBILITY AND LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT MAR 06 2023 IN THE CITY OF IOWA CITY, IOWA TO ALL TAXPAYERS OF THE CITY OF City Clerk IOWA CITY, IOWA, AND TO OTHER Iowa City, Iowa INTERESTED PERSONS: Public notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Iowa City, Iowa, will conduct a public hearing on the Project Manual, including the plans, specifications, contract, and estimated cost for the construction of the Mercer Park Aquatic Center & Scanlon Gym Exterior Accessibility And Lighting Improvements Project in said city at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st day of March, 2023, said meeting to be held in the Emma J. Harvat Hall in the City Hall, 410 East Washington Street in said city, or if said meeting is cancelled, at the next meeting of the City Council thereafter as posted by the City Clerk. This project generally includes ADA accessibility sidewalk and exterior lighting improvements with approximately 350 yards of 6" PCC sidewalk replacement, approximately 900 yards of 9" PCC street pavement replacement, PCC curb and gutter, parking stall improvements including signs and signposts, exterior site lighting and electrical improvements, site erosion and sod installation and is located at the Mercer Aquatic Center and Scanlon Gym, 2701 Bradford Drive, Iowa City. Said Project Manual and estimated cost are now on file in the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall in Iowa City, Iowa, and may be inspected by any interested persons. Any interested persons may appear at said meeting of the City Council for the purpose of making objections to and comments concerning said Project Manual or the cost of making said improvement.
