BUDGET OVERVIEW AND HIGHLIGHTS City Manager Fruin thanked members of the public for attending breakfast on a budget which preceded the meeting and thanked staff and Council for all the time and effort that will be put into the budget prior to submitting to the state. Assistant City Manager Monroe reviewed the budget review schedule, the budget document, fund structures, population growth, and budget goals. City Manager Fruin reviewed sustaining a strong fiscal position and growth. Assistant to the City Manager Andrew reviewed expenditures. City Manager Fruin wrapped up with an analysis and summary of the budget, and next year's budget. [Power point of FY2020 Budget coincided with overview.] Finance Dir. Bockenstedt and Budget& Compliance Officer Fleagle present for discussion. Department budgets were presented as outlined on the agenda (IP2 of 12/27/18 Info Packet); and page number in parenthesis refers to pages in the Proposed Financial Plan (12/21/18 Info Packet). Power points of organization charts for the City departments were shown and archived. Individual Council members expressed their views. Finance Director Bockenstedt provided additional information. City Manager Fruin will follow up with additional information. City Manager Fruin noted there were 11 items to follow up on with additional information and 5 areas for additional budget discussion at the next work session. Meeting adjourned 4:17 PM
