Summary of Minutes
January 7, 2023
Iowa City City Council special formal meeting, 8:03 a.m. held at City Hall — Emma J.
Harvat Hall, 410 E. Washington Street. Mayor Teague presiding. Council members
present: Alter, Bergus, Harmsen, Taylor, Teague, Thomas. Absent: None. Staff
members present: Fruin, Jones, Kilburg, Goers, Fruehling, Platz, Davies, Fleagle,
Ogden. Unless otherwise noted, all actions were affirmative and unanimous.
Mayor Teague asked for a motion select Council vacancy finalists.
Moved by Taylor, seconded by Alter, individual Council members discussed and
presented their finalists.
Mayor Teague noted the top seven finalists as follows: Andrew Dunn, Na Li, Mary
Mascher, Sean McRoberts, Elizabeth Miglin, Joshua Moe, and Amanda Remington.
Motion passed, 6/0.
Moved by Taylor, seconded by Alter, to adjourn the special meeting at 8:13 a.m.
