NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the City Council
of Iowa City will hold a public hearing on the 7th
day of March, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in the Emma J.
Harvat Hall of the Iowa City City Hall, 410 E.
Washington Street, Iowa City, Iowa, or if said
meeting is cancelled, at the next meeting of the
City Council thereafter as posted by the City
Clerk; at which hearing the Council will consider
a Resolution Authorizing Conveyance of 2021
Taylor Drive, also described as Unit A, 2021-
2023 Taylor Drive Condominiums, to an income -
eligible buyer.
A copy of the proposed resolution is on file
for public examination in the office of the City
Clerk, City Hall, Iowa City, Iowa. Persons
wishing to make their views known for Council
consideration are encouraged to appear at the
above -mentioned time and place.

RESOLUTION NO.
Resolution authorizing conveyance of a single-family home
located at 2021 Taylor Drive.
Whereas, the South District Home Investment Partnership Program is an effort by the City to
encourage home ownership and reinvestment in designated neighborhoods; and
Whereas, the City purchases residential properties, rehabilitates them, and then sells them to
income -eligible buyers; and
Whereas, the City purchased a duplex at 2021-2023 Taylor Drive, rehabilitated it, and converted
it to a 2-unit condominium; and
Whereas, the City has received an offer to purchase 2021 Taylor Drive for the principal sum of
$155,000; and
Whereas, this sale would provide affordable owner -occupied housing; and
Whereas, on February 21, 2023, the City Council adopted a Resolution proposing to convey its
interest in 2021 Taylor Drive, authorizing public notice of the proposed conveyance, and setting
the date and time for the public hearing; and
Whereas, following the public hearing on the proposed conveyance, the City Council finds that
the conveyance is in the public interest.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Iowa City, Iowa, that:
1. Upon the direction of the City Attorney, the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to
execute a warranty deed conveying the City's interest in 2021 Taylor Drive, Iowa City,
Iowa for the sum of $155,000.
2. The City Attorney is hereby authorized to deliver said warranty deed and to carry out any
actions necessary to consummate the conveyance required by law.

AND ESTIMATED COST FOR THE ROHRET SOUTH
TRUNK SANITARY SEWER PROJECT IN THE CITY OF
IOWA CITY, IOWA
TO ALL TAXPAYERS OF THE CITY OF IOWA CITY,
IOWA, AND TO OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS:
Public notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City
of Iowa City, Iowa, will conduct a public hearing on the
Project Manual, including the plans, specifications, contract,
and estimated cost for the construction of the Rohret South
Trunk Sanitary Sewer in said city at 6 p.m. on the 7th day of
March, 2023, said meeting to be held in the Emma J. Harvat
Hall in the City Hall, 410 East Washington Street in said city,
or if said meeting is cancelled, at the next meeting of the
City Council thereafter as posted by the City Clerk.
This project includes the construction of approximately
2,400 lineal feet of 30 -inch diameter reinforced concrete
trunk sanitary sewer, including trenchless construction of
330 lineal fee across STH 218. The project also involves
approximately 5,000 square yards of concrete pavement
replacement, concrete sidewalk and driveways
replacements, 330 lineal feet of storm sewer construction,
and landscape restoration.
Said Project Manual and estimated cost are now on file in
the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall in Iowa City, Iowa,
and may be inspected by any interested persons.
Any interested persons may appear at said meeting of the
City Council for the purpose of making objections to and
comments concerning said Project Manual or the cost of
making said improvement.
This notice is given by order of the City Council of the City
of Iowa City, Iowa and as provided by law.

TRAIL IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT IN THE CITY OF

Public notice is hereby given that the City Council of the

Trail Improvements in said city at 6:00 p.m. on the 7th day
of March, 2023, said meeting to be held in the Emma J.
Harvat Hall in the City Hall, 410 East Washington Street in
said city, or if said meeting is cancelled, at the next meeting
of the City Council thereafter as posted by the City Clerk.
This project includes replacement of the Willow Creek
trail including approximately 5,400 square yards of PCC trail
and sidewalk construction, utility adjustments, pedestrian
curb ramp construction, approximately 215 square yards of
PCC street replacement and associated landscape
restoration. The Project is located in and adjacent to Willow
Creek Park in Iowa City, Iowa 52245.
Said Project Manual and estimated cost are now on file
in the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall in Iowa City,
Iowa, and may be inspected by any interested persons.
Any interested persons may appear at said meeting of
the City Council for the purpose of making objections to and
comments concerning said Project Manual or the cost of
making said improvement.
