Review urban chicken regulations Councilor Dunn introduced ideas on updating the urban chicken regulations. Individual Council members expressed their views. Animal Services Officer Strief answered questions from Council. Action: Staff will prepare an ordinance amendment with the following changes: permits may be issued to multi-family residences; staff will have discretion to approve more than one coop on multi- family properties; hen limit increased from 4 to 6, but still no roosters; consent of adjoining neighbors will no longer be required for a permit to be issued. The permit fees will remain as they are. 2. 2020 Preliminary Plan to Accelerate Community Policing Chief Liston outlined the progress and answered Council questions. Individual Council members expressed their views. Action: Staff will present an updated community policing plan with goals that also include strategies of prevention, diversion, mental health, and a holistic multi departments/external agencies approach that include remedies for law enforcement issues involving Juveniles at a future Work Session. 3.
