Consider shutting off your water service and temporarily deactivating your account to avoid paying water, wastewater, recycling, and garbage fees while you're gone. Request account deactivation at least one week in advance by calling the Water Division. An employee will shut off your water at either the outside shut-off valve (stop box) in your yard, or the master valve inside your home. After this, your only charge will be a monthly stormwater fee of $5. A $45 service fee will be charged to reconnect to City services when you return. r 1 ® For more info, visit icgov.org/water or contact the Water division at 319-356-5160. Fall is here!
