Staff:

Tapes:

SCHEDULE OF PENDING DISCUSSION ITEMS:
(problems w/tape; starts in mid-conversation)
Elliott! .. . objective listing of things and it was determined last year that there was not
interest in it. I'd be happy to work with Ross, if you'd like to do that. If not,
that's fine too.
Baileyl I like evaluations that talk about some successes, some goals, some...those kinds
of things. Those general outlines. But I don't know what you had...
Wilburn! Okay, Can you let me get something out to you within the.. .next week?
Elliott! Sure, sure.
Vanderhoef! Go ahead, Bob. I did it a number of years ago and it sort of went by the
wayside, when I worked with Naomi...
Champion! I just dislike those (unable to hear). They're not very valuable. Checklists
are not valuable. I hate them!
Wilburn! Also, in years past, there've been some Council Members that wanted to see the
contracts that we have (unable to hear). So...
Baileyl And we have job descriptions too. Do you have copies ofthose? (unable to hear)
Wilburn! Okay.
Elliott! Ross, Ijust wanted... before we left the discussion item, I'm glad we went over
this tonight because in the past, in previous years, we've had discussion items and
they have just simply lain on the table and not been addressed. I would like to
keep them in a kind of priority order so we know what is next on the line, and I'm
hoping that we Can.. .just, if somebody wants to change the priority at a meeting
we Can do that, but I would like to see us take a more systematic approach to
addressing (unable to hear, several talking).
Wilburn! We'll do the best we Can.

Elliott! Good!
Wilburn! I think that's also impacted by what's going on with staff within the City, and
then how quickly we get through items or take breaks or not get to items in a
particular work session. That's just a (unable to hear). We got through a lot last
night, but...
Bailey! We didn't put a date to Aid to Agency, the discussion about that.
VanderhoeV Or homeless.
Bailey! At least that I didn't get down.
Wilbum! Homeless was on kind of on-going, we're continuing discussions and we put it
on work sessions. We have two items left on the list.
Atkins! Aid to Agency would seem to be a good August issue, in preparation for the
budget.
Bailey! And then...
Atkins! ...' cause then you can amend it.
Bailey! Yeah, and we also need to get agencies sort of lined up for the fall to come in...
Atkins! Yeah, right, that whole process.
Wilburn! Okay. Should we take a break until 7:00 P.M.? (TAPE ENDS)
