residential development plan for the above-reforenced
development, it has been decided not to require stormwater
detention for the followinq reason I
The chanqes/improvements to the property 1nclude the
construction of a 1,500 sq.ft. cylinder storaqe buildinq and
a 100 sq.ft. tank platform. Total improvements add up to
1,600 sq.ft, or 0.04 acre, Stormwater detention is required
for commercial development comprisinq A qross aqqreqate areA
of 1 acre or more. In this CAse, qross aqqreqato area of
dovolopment is assumed to bo tho arOA of tho proposed
chanqe/improvomonts, which is 0.04 acro. Tho proposod

removed by the Unlvorslty of Iowa,
Enclosed ploase find a list of Items to bo stored In the tank

Thero aro prosently 4 largo trees on the frent (east) property
line, It Is our opinion that to add to tho trees on the front
property llno weuld be a detraction and an eventual eyesore due to
the slzo of existing tres and the number of polos and signs, I
have two alternate solutions that I would ask you to consider,
Solution I . On the site plan, I havo Indicated trees A, B, and C,
To comply with the number of troes necessary, I propose to plant 3
small treos In this location,
Solution 2 . On tho site plan, I have Indicated treos At D, E.
This Is not my favorite solution because we would Just be crowding

Troos A, B, C or A, D, [ whlchevor solution you accept wIll be
small crabapplo or Bradford poars, Hy opinion Is that thore are
sufficient trees en that frontago but If they had to be placed
becauso of city regulations, Solution 1 would be the best way to

Tho COBG.lundod HousIng Rohab program In Iowa City bogan In 1975 and has ovolvod In a
varloty 01 ways during tho past 15 yoars. Tho orlglnallull.tlmo stall olthroo was roducod to
ono porson (lor a much smollor program) In 1979, and curronlly stands at 2,5 porsons. Ourlng
tho past low yoars tho City Council, CCN and tho Housing Commission havo placod Incroasod
omphasls on tho housing rohab program, and approxlmotoly hall tho City's COBG monlos aro
allocatod to rohob oach yoar. From a program In tho oar~ olghtlos concontratlng mainly on
comprohonslvo rohab and doallng with about 15 projocts a yoar, tho 1969 program asslstod
