My work this summer as a peer academic advisor at the University of Iowa to the incoming class of students affords me little time to dedicate to outside endeavors. Additionally, my aspirations for graduate studies following my undergraduate tenure at the University of Iowa will also invariably intensify my academic schedule in the upcoming fall semester. As a result of my commitment to these two top priorities, I am left with little time to devote to the Telecommunications Commission. I do, however, want to thank you and the commission for providing me with the opportunity to serve Iowa City. I further want to commend the commission and you for the continuous work you do that provides endless media opportunities for the city's residents. Iowa City-appointed members of boards and commissions must be eligible electors of the City of Iowa City. The Telecommunications Commission meets the fourth Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. Applications must be received by 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2006.
