COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF COUNCIL ACTIVITIES
JULY 17, 2006
Iowa City City Council special meeting, 5:00 p.m. at City Hall. Mayor Wilburn
presiding. Council Members present: Bailey, Champion, Correia, Elliott, O'Donnell,
Vanderhoef, Wilburn. Absent: None. Staff members present: Atkins, Dilkes, Karr.
Council minutes tape recorded on Tape 06-55, Side 2.
Moved by Champion, seconded by Correia, to adjourn to executive session to
evaluate the professional competency of individuals whose appointment, hiring,
performance or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and
irreparable injury to that individuals' reputations and those individuals requested a
closed session (City Manager, City Attorney, City Clerk). Affirmative roll call vote
unanimous, 7/0, all Council Members present. The Mayor declared the motion carried
and adjourned into executive session 5:01 p.m.
Council returned to open session 5:50 p.m.
Moved by Bailey, seconded by O'Donnell, to adjourn the special meeting at 5:50
p.m. The Mayor declared the motion carried, 4/0, Ellio~iUrnt.
