tlle pocket park by tll., B.,nton Sue.,t Bridge wluch 1 agree Wltll CCIl
that tlllS functionally would not be a neIghborhood park so It It makes
more sense for tlus particular pot of money to fund the FaIr Meadows
Park so not only the low moderate Income teo?nagers Will be emploYed
but tllat tlle work that tlley are domg Will benefit tlle low to moderate
mcome neIghborhood And so?Condly tlle Bob Burns project for

Park on *nton b..cause 1 would have been 10 favor of tundlng tllat

It not tor tlle fact that In our budget process we had commlttM to

Kubby II have a few questlOns The reason-_ had a tIlree phase agreement

the consultant at tllIs stage IS very Important And hiring a local hrm

Kubby / Do you recall what tile cost .of Phase 3 from Shannon and Wilson
was.
Schmadekel We didn't get a cost (rom tIlem for all o( the elements (or thiS

KUbby / But what about the past contract tIlat we had WltIl them. We didn't
cost tIlat out at tIlis polOt yet
Schmadekel No. We didn't bave those costs.
Kubby / I read througb the scope o( services but I Just want to make sure
tIlat I am understanding things correctly Tbere- Sbive Hattery will
actually not do any o( tile monitoring. They Will de tile plan (or
setting up how the monitoring will go
Scbmadeke/ Tbat is right.
Kubby / So tIlen will the City-once all tile monitonng wells-the City will do its
own monitoring and send the samples 0(( or do we do our own testing.
Schmadeke/We will do our own monitoring. We do have an item in there (or
the first year that we could bire Shive Hattery to do the monitoring
and tIlen give us the data and instruct us bow to monitor (rom tIlen
on. Tbere isn't a price assO<:lated ....ith tIlat at this time because we
tIlink we can probably do that in bouse The actual test will be
conducted by a lab.
Kubby I And before, we were thinkmg tIlat we were going to bave to do
some very sophisticated technical engmeenng strategies of making
underground walls to lock the leacbate from moving further. And our
strategy tllat we are using now is to make sure tIlat no leacbate leaves
our current landfill space and tIlat other leachate tIlat bas already
leaked will be trapped and it will slowly diSSipate and monitor to
make sure tIlat bappens Is tIlat correct
Schmadekel Tbat is correct. Not only will it not leave our landfill space but
we will be picking it up and transporting it to our waste water
treatment plant for treatment
Kubby I And if the monitoring sbO'NS tIlat tM diSSipation tIlat we are
expecting 1.0 !lappen. doesn't Ulen we 'AIllll1ave to do tlle next step
