Applicants must reside in Iowa City. The City Council announced Advisory Board/Comnission vacancies 90 days prior to the date the appointment will be made. This period provides for a 30-day advertising period and a 60-day training period for new members. The training period allows new members to become familiar with the responsibilities and duties of the advisory board/comnission before becoming a fu 11 vot ing member.
