The Commission will recall that adoption of the PRM zone and the subsequent downzonlng of ail RM-145 zoned areas within the city to PRM was an effort to address concerns associated with the RM-145 zone with regard to density of development, parking, minimum setbacks and building design. Due to conflicts resulting from RM-145 zoned development, it Is not anticipated that areas of the city will be rezoned to RM-145In the future, Consequently, staff recommends that ail references to RM-145 zone regulations within the Iowa City Zoning Ordinance be rescinded.
