MEMORANDUM
TO: Iowa City Council
FROM: Shelley McCafferty
DATE: June 5, 2002
RE: Moffitt Cottage Historic Districts
The Historic Preservation Commission requests that the appointment to the Moffitt
Cottage Historic District be deferred indefinitely. Because there are no property owners
within this small district that want to serve as a representative on the Commission, the
Commission is currently communicating with the Historic Preservation Society of Iowa to
determine if there a means in which a representative from this district would not be
required.
