WHAT IS YOUR PRESENT KNOWLEDGE OF THIS ADVISORY BOARD?
I am familiar with the membership of the board as well as with its bylaws and minutes from past meetings.
WHAT CONTRIBUTIONS DO YOU FEEL YOU CAN MAKE TO THIS ADVISORY BOARD (OR STATE
REASON FOR APPLYING)?
I have been a frequent patron of the library for more than 15 years who uses it for much more than checking out
books. I understand the evolving mission of the library and the ways technology impacts that mission. As a member
of the business community with some knowledge of financial reports, I understand the challenges and constraints
placed upon institutions like the library, and would like to work to help it meet those challenges in ways that don't
compromise services.
I am also the parent of a toddler who uses the library in ways I had never dreamed. Seeing the library through these
new eyes, I more fully understand the range of services offered and feel I can offer direction about ways the library
can nurture users from the earliest possible age.
I have contributed financially to the library as well, and have donated many books to The Book End.
