PROCLAMA TION
Whereas, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people across the nation
celebrate their pride in their culture and community in the month of June; and
Whereas, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people in the Iowa City
community will celebrate Pride Day in June; and
Whereas, the Iowa City community is strengthened and enhanced through the
contributions of all its diyerse citizens;
Now, therefore, I, Ross Wilburn, Mayor of the City of Iowa City, Iowa, do
hereby proclaim June 2007 to be
Pride Month
