It is necessary to certify a new list of Police Officer candidates since the Chief will exhaust the current list very shortly. March 8, 1977 was set as a tentative date for the entry level exams. Iowa City appointed members of boards and commissions must be qualified Voters of the City of Iowa City. This appointment will be made at the April 12, 1977, Council meeting at 7:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers. Persons interested in being considered for. this position should contact the City Clerk, Civic Center, 410 East Washington. Application forms are available from the Clerk's office upon request. IOWA 52340 Y • V 319.354.1800 s o � e thlW'r�', pYA% V:.ry�• t111'ytr NOTICE THE CITY COUNCIL OF IOWA CITY IS C NSIDERIIWG APPOINT- ME6II'S TO TRE FOLLOWING COMMISSION: HOUSING COMMISSION Three vacancies - Three-year terms May 1, 1977 - May 1, 1980 Duties of the Housing Commission members include investigating, studying, reviewing, and analyzing the housing needs and the meeting of such needs within the City of Iowa City, Iowa, and investigating and determining if slum areas exist or other areas where there are unsafe, unsanitary or over- crowded housing conditions, and studying and investigating and asking recommendation relating to the clearing, replanning and construction of slum areas and providing dwelling places for elderly persons and persons of low or medium intone. Iowa City appointed members of boards and commissions must be qualified voters of the City of Iowa City. The selection and appointments to this Commission will be made at the April 12, 1977, Council meeting at 7:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers. The actual terms will begin May 1, 1977. This will allow the appointees an opportunity to attend meetings of the Housing Commission in order to became familiar with the duties of the Camrission before assuming full responsibility. Persons interested in being considered for these positions should contact the City Clerk, Civic Center, 410 East Washington.
