(1) Consider resolution setting a public hearing on May 24, 1977, on proposed plans, specifications, contract, and estimated cost for the central business district sanitary sewer improvement. This proposal involves replacement of the sanitary sewer on Dubuque from Washington to College and on College from Clinton to Linn. The sanitary sewer on Dubuque between College and Burlington will be plugged off and abandoned. Preliminary 1: engineer's estimate is $75,000 A final engineer's estimate will be prepared before the public hearing. (2) Consider resolution setting a public hearing on May 31, 1977, on proposed plans, specifications, contract, and estimated cost for the construction of six storm water management projects on Ralston Creek. This resolution.sets public hearing for the Benton Street sewer relocation, the Iowa -Illinois storm water detention site, the Johnson Street retaining wall project, the Happy Hollow storm water detention site, the Van Buren Street sewer relocation, and the Iowa Avenue.inverted siphon. Total pr -cost estimate -for these projects is $106,200., This will be -17 py funded from the HCDA Block Grant. e'., Correspondence. Letter from Mrs. Rick Funk regarding control of cats in Iowa City. Consider recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission: (1) To approve S-7115, preliminary plat of a resubdivision of a portion of Lot 30, Conway's Subdivision located west of Prairie du Chien Road and south of St. Ann's Drive, with a variance allowing streets to be constructed at a width of 25' instead of 28' and with a note on the, plat that no construction be allowed within the storm water management basin. The Planning and Zoning Commission, at a regular meeting held on May 5,',1977, recommended by a 7-0 vote approval of the subject sub- division;This recommendation is consistent with the staff's recommendation presented in a report dated April 21, 1977, which is attached to this agenda. If the corrections are made in the plat, a resolution will be presented for the Council's consideration at the, next regular meeting:: (2).To recommend. the following regarding the Urban Renewal Plan: •'.
