WHEREAS, the International Host Family Program is an organization
of families in and around Iowa City who are interested
in meeting and helping students and visitors from other
countries, and
WHEREAS, this Program provides foreign visitors and the American
families with an opportunity to gain new perspectives by
exchanging ideas from different cultures, and
WHEREAS, the International Host Family Program is planning special
activities for the week of April 16 - 22 to promote the
program and recruit additional host families,
