WHEREAS, the City Traffic Engineer has proposed certain changes pertaining to access to Highway 6 from property currently zoned as commercial and located between Keokuk.Street and Broadway Street south of Highway 6, and, WHEREAS, the City Council has considered such a proposal and finds that such proposal is in the best interest of the City of Iowa City in that such change would provide better vehicular access and would promote an orderly commercial development in this tract of land, and, WHEREAS, prior to implementing a plan the City must obtain the consent of the Iowa Department of Transportation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IOWA CITY that: The City Council approve the proposal of the City Traffic Engineer as outlined in Exhibit 1 which is attached to this resolution and by this reference made a part hereof.
