Notice is hereby given that the City of Iowa City
proposes to rezone from C2 to CBS Zone, the following
described property to -wit:
Aparcel of land in Block I, Berryh111 and Pierce's Addition and in Lots 5, 9 and
10, Lyman Cook's Subdivision of Out Lot 25, all in Iowa City; Johnson County, Iowa,
described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the east line of Gilbert Street 12 feet south-
easterly from as measured at right angles to the centerline of the Old
Elmira Main Track and south leg of the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific
Railroad Company's Wye Track No. 7 as now located; thence northeasterly
parallel wiLh and 12 feet southeasterly of said Track No. 7 to its inter-

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of
Iowa City, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on Tues-
day, Iday 23, at 7:30 P.N. in the Civic Center Coun-
cil Chambers, 410 E. Washington Street, Johnson
County, Iowa City, Iowa, in consideration of re-
zoning specific areas within the following morator-
ium area as was established by Ordinance No. 77-
2868:
Beginning at the center of the intersection
of Dubuque St. and Brown St. and proceeding
southerly along the center line of Dubuque
to the intersection with Jefferson, then pro-
ceeding easterly along the center line of
Jefferson to the intersection with Governor,
then proceeding northerly along the center
line of Governor to the intersection with
Dodge, then proceeding southerly along the
center line of Dodge to the intersection with
Brown, and then westerly along the center line
of Brown to the point of beginning.
The present CH zone beginning at the intersec-
tion of N. Dodge St. and Prairie du Chien Rd.;
then north to St. John's Alley, then in a
northeasterly direction to St. Matthias Al-
ley, then southerly along St. Matthias Al-
ley approximately 50', thence northeasterly
to N. Dubuque Rd., then southerly to the in-
tersection of N. Dubuque and Conklin St. ex-
tended, thence southwesterly to Summit St.;
thence north along Summit St. to the point
of beginning.
Exhibit A below indicates how the above described
moratorium area is currently zoned. Exhibit B
below indicates the recommendation of rezoning
for the above described moratorium area as was
made by the Iowa City Planning & Zoning Commission
on April 27, 1978. Exhibit C indicates those areas
in which a change in zoning would result from said
recommendation.
Following are descriptions of the tracts of land
within said moratorium area for which a zoning
change would result from the recommendation of the
Planning & Zoning Commission. Said descriptions
are intended to describe the changes that will be
considered at said public hearing, but in case of
any discrepancy Exhibits A, B, and C shall be con-
trolling.
