Hayek advised that he would have a report in the next Council packet re the ad in the Daily Iowan concerning the hotel/motel tax. Moved by deProsse, seconded by Neuhauser, to refer the matter of closing Melrose Court to the Planning and Zoning Comm. Motion carried 2052 unanimously, 7/0. Councilwoman Neuhauser stated that whether or not the people supported the bond issue for the library, she wanted to commend Carol deProsse for the tremendous campaign she worked on. Other Councilmember � OS3 agreed. City Mgr. Berlin requested that the contract with D.O.T. concerning the right-of-way agreement for property acquisition for Hwy. 1 improvement should be deferred for investigation of alternative language. Moved by Perret, seconded by deProsse, to defer the Resolution authorizing the Mayor to sign the agreement. Motion carried, unanimously, 7/0. Moved by Neuhauser, seconded by deProsse, that the City Attorney write to Ia. Dept. of Transportation on requirements and legality of agreements concerning FW518 and Hwy. 1 between the D:O.T. and the City. Motion p5'i carried unanimously, 7/0.
