ORDINANCE NO, 77-2859, UNIFORM BUILDING CODE
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be
held by the City Council of Iowa City, Iowa, at
7:30 P.M. on the 16th day of January, 1979, in the
Council Chambers in the Civic Center, Iowa City, Iowa.
At which hearing the Council will consider arguments
for and against the proposed adoption of amendments
to Ordinance No. 77-2859 which adopted the Uniform
Building Code Standards, 1976 Edition,by eliminating
the Building Code requirements for sprinklers or
automatic fire extinguishing systems and wet stand
pipes, and to further amend the code to allow an
enclosed shopping mall to be built adjacent to a
parking garage owned by the City and be interconnect-
ed through fire corridors. The code shall be further
modified to reword the definition of an open parking
ramp to be built according to the Council approved
design plans as submitted by the architect.
Copies of the proposed Ordinance amendments are on
file for public examination in the Office of the
City Clerk, Civic Center, Iowa City, Iowa. This
notice is given pursuant to Section 414 of the Code
of Iowa, 1977.

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be
held by the City Council of Iowa City, Iowa, at
7:30 P.M. on the 16th day of January , 1979, in
the Council Chamber�ri the Civic Center, Iowa City,
Iowa. At which hearing the Council will consider
arguments for and against the proposed adoption of
amendments to the Housing Occupancy & Maintenance
Code, Ordinance @78-2891, by requiring an operator
or owner of rental property to provide an inspection
checklist upon the request of the tenant.
Copies of the proposed Ordinance amendments are on
file for public examination in the Office of the
City Clerk, Civic Center, Iowa City, Iowa. This
notice is given pursuant to Section 414 of the Code
of Iowa, 1977.

Public Notice is hereby given that a public hearing
will be held by the City Council on January 16, 1979,
at 7:30 P,M. in the Council Chambers of City Hall on
a proposed Resolution Declaring that public con-
venience and necessity require the proposed taxicab,
service applied for by A Better Cab Company within
the City of Iowa City, Iowa.
At said time and place, last above mentioned, any
interested persons may appear and file objections
