IN BLOCK 46 IN EAST IOWA CITY, AN
Comment: In 1964 the City of Iowa City vacated the Alley in Block
46 in East Iowa City Addition. Several attempts were made to
convey portions of the vacated alley to adjoining property owners,
especially after title objection. This action has been reviewed
by the Legal and Engineering Departments. The Legal Department
recommends this action solely to clear an existing title
objection.

TELECOlMiNICATIONS DIVISION.
Comment: The Production Coordinator is responsible for
programming local government Channel 29 and assists the City
departments with their use of video equipment and facilities.
This need increases as more City departments look to Channel 29
as a means of informing the public about City operations and
issues. This position reports to the Broadband Telecommunications
Specialist and has been approved as a full-time position for FY90.
It is recommended that it be expanded now in order to allow the

from the increased franchise fee revenue.
