You and each of you are hereby notified that the
City Council of the City of Iowa City, has
heretofore adapted and approved Resolution 88-220
declaring the City's intent to dispose-if—the
following -described City Property.
Beginning at the Southeast comer of Outlet 35 as
recorded in Plat Book 2, page 73, in the Johnson
County Recorder's Office on the Westerly right -
of -W line of Madison Street; then North
00'00'00" East along the Westerly right-of-way
line of Madison Street 405.00 feet to a point;
thence North 90'00'00" East 24.00 feet to a

Notice is hereby given that a Public homing will
be conducted before the City Council of the City of
Iowa City, Iowa (the "Issuer"), in the Council
Chambers at the City Hall in said City at 7:30 p.m.
m Deceiber 13, 1988, on the proposal to issue not
to exceed $3,000,000 principal amount of the City's
Industrial Development Revenue Bonds (Michael
DevelWu t Rgject) Series 1989, pursuant to the
Provisions of Chapter 419 of the Code of Iowa, for
the purpose of defraying all or a portion of the
cost of acquiring land and constructing a facility
thereon to be leased for use in the naufactrirg of
seamless cans. The proposed facility will be owned
by Michael Development, a Minnesota General Palrna�
ship (the "Borrower") and located an the westerly
side of Heinz Road approximately one4Blf mile north
of Highway 6 and approximately one-third mile west
of Scott Boulevard in Iowa City, Iowa. It is
contemplated that a Loan uti. nt will be arta d
into between the Issuer and the Borrower, under
which the Issuer would loan to said Borrower the
Proceeds fran the sale of the Bards in return for
loan PAMts from the Borrower sufficient to pay
the principal of, interest and premun, if any, on
such Bonds as the sane shall fall due.
Such Bonds, if issued, and the interest thereon,
will be payable solely out of the revenues derived
I'Mn the furan AFwmt and shall never constitute
an indebtedrness of the Issuer within the meaning of
any state constitutional provision or statutory
limitation, and shall not constitute nor give rise
to a pecuniary liability of the Issuer or a charge
against its general credit or taxing powers.
All local residents who appear at the hearing
shall be given an opportunity to epress their vias
for or against the proposal to issue the Bonds, and
at the hearing, or any ac(jounra t thereof, the City
Council of the Issuer shall adopt a resolution
determining whether or not to proceed with the
issuance of the Bads.
