My work in Des Moines precludes my being at regular Board meetings, and I know that the Library needs a working Board daring this time when many important decisions mast be mads. My support for the Library will continua, by word—of-month praise, by profitable use of the facilities, and by monetary contributions. I have enjoyed being on the Library Board, and haps that I have contributed by my thoughts and actions. Perhaps I can serve the town again N another time. They shall re- search, review, and recommend policies, rules, regulations, ordinances, and budgets relating to matters of energy and, resource conservation and provide recommendations and reports to the City Council on the activities of the Commission. The Commission shall exercise broad responsibility for development of resource conservation policies and shall pay special attention to long-range planning and programming. The Commission shall, for the public welfare, make recommendations on energy matters.
