NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER A
RESOLUTION TO DISPOSE OF A PORTION OF THE
MORMON TREK BOULEVARD RIGHT-OF-WAY NEAR
PLAEN VIEW DRIVE AND THE IOWA CITY
CORPORATE LIMITS.
Notice is hereby given that a public
hearing will be held by the City Council
of Iowa City, Iowa, at 7:30 p.m, on the
9th day of April, 1985, in the Council
Chambers of the Civic Center, Iowa City,
Iowa; at which hearing the Council will
consider a resolution to dispose of the
portion of the Mormon Trek Boulevard
right-of-way near Plaen View Drive and the
Iowa City corporate limits. Copies of the
proposed resolution of disposition are on
file for public examination in the office
of the City Clerk, Civic Center, Iowa
City, Iowa.

Notice is hereby given that a public
hearing will be held by the City Council
of Iowa City, Iowa, at 7:30 p.m. on the
9th day of April, 1985, in the Council
Chambers of the Civic Center, Iowa City,
Iowa; at which hearing the Council will
consider a resolution to dispose of a
portion of the Highway 1 West right-of-way
adjacent to Ruppert Subdivision Part 1 at

that the City Council of the City of
Iowa City, Iowa, will conduct a public
hearing on plans, specifications, form
of contract and estimated cost for the
construction of Contract 1 -
Groundwater Cut -Off Trench, Iowa City
Sanitary Landfill in said City at 7:30
p.m. on the 9th day of April, 1985,
said meeting to be held in the Council
Chambers in the Civic Center in said
City.
Said plans, specifications, form
of contract and estimated cost are now
on file in the office of the City
Clerk in the Civic Center in Iowa
City, Iowa, and may be inspected by
any persons interested.
Any persons interested may appear

FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
OUTFALL RELIEF SEWER SYSTEM REHABILITATION
THE CITY OF IOWA CITY, IOWA
TO ALL TAXPAYERS OF THE CITY OF IOWA CITY,
IOWA, AND TO OTHER PERSONS INTERESTED:
Public notice is hereby given that a
public hearing will be held by the City
Council of the Municipality of Iowa City,
Iowa on April 9, 1965 at 7:30 P.M., in the
Council Chambers of the Civic Center on
the plans and specifications, form of
contract and estimate of cost for the
construction of OUTFALL RELIEF SEWER
SYSTEM REHABILITATION. Said plans and
specifications are now on file in the
Office of the City Clerk. At said time
and place, last above mentioned, any
interested person may appear and file
objections to said plans, specifications,
form of contract or the cost of said
improvement.
The work to be done is as follows:
OUTFALL RELIEF SEWER SYSTEM REHABILITATION
Construct Outfall Relief Sewer System
Rehabilitation including all materials,
labor and equipment necessary for
approximately 4,404 square yards of
concrete pavement removal, 1,822 square
yards of alley, driveway, parking lot and
sidewalk removal, 1 temporary sewage
bypass, 1,801 cubic yards of granular
backfill, sodding, 2,690 linear feet of
sanitary sewer 8" through 42" diameter,
720 linear feet of storm sewer 12"
through 24" diameter in open cut,
110 linear feet of 12" DI pipe augered in
place, 14 standard manholes, 13 special
manholes, 2 special structures, intakes.
drop connections, 1,900 linear feet of
existing sewer abandonment, 4,445 square

yards of Portland cement concrete with
asphalt overlay, replacement of alleys,
driveways, parking lots and sidewalks,
tree replacement, shotcreting 3,203
linear feet of sewer and 22 manholes,
traffic control, surface restoration and
miscellaneous related work including
cleanup.
Excavation will occur in or near the
following areas: van Buren Street from
Washington Street to Market Street,
Jefferson Street from van Buren Street to
Johnson Street, Johnson Street from
Jefferson Street to Market Street, Market
Street from Johnson Street to van Buren
Street, Dodge Street from Church Street to
Ronalds Street, Ronalds Street from Dodge
Street to Lucas Street, the alley north of
Church Street from Dodge Street to Johnson
Street, Jefferson Street from Governor
Street to Evans Street, Melrose Circle,
Melrose Court, the open field between
Melrose Court and Melrose Circle, the open
field northwest of the intersection of
Iowa Avenue and Madison Street, and an
area between Dodge Street and Governor
Street north of Brown Street.
