Consider an ordinance vacating the twenty-three foot wide Grand Avenue Court right-of-way, commencing from the north right-of-way line of Melrose Avenue and extending northward for a distance of two hundred ninety-five feet. (Second Consideration). Lehman: (Reads item). O'Donnell: Move second consideration. Champion: Second. Lehman: Moved by O'Donnell, seconded by Champion. Discussion? Jean Walker: This is a hard copy of what... Kart: Jean you'll have to use the microphone. Walker: i'm Jean Walker and I live on 335 Lucon Drive. (Reads statement). Lehman: Thank you, Jean. Walker: And I've just got one question of whether this will come up in the work session that follows this special session. Lehman: It could but I don't know that it will. Walker: I asked because of medical considerations. Lehman: Yeah I have no intention of bringing it up. 1 don't know if anyone else on the Council does or not, but it could be brought up. Walker: Okay. Thank you. Kant: Motion to accept correspondence. Vanderhoef: So moved. Champion: So moved. Lehman: Moved by Vanderhoef and seconded by Champion to accept correspondence. All in favor? Opposed? Motion carries. Any other discussion? Vanderhoef: I just would like to say one more time that we're not holding up the University in any way if we do allow the change in grade of the road. And I had to bring it up on Tuesday when we had our first meeting, but it was at that time that I had the word from our City engineers that it would not change enough that it would impede using the Court after the time of the construction zoned going out of that area. I still feel that we must hold open all of our options for the Court and for the realignment of however Melrose cormects with Grand Avenue. And this is a premature vote. Lehman: Any other discussion?
