NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO LuNSIDER
AN ORDINANCE TO BRING THE IOWA CITY
MUNICIPAL CODE INTO COMPLIANCE WITH RECENT
STATE LEGISLATION REGARDING MANUFACTURED
HOUSING
Notice is hereby given that a public
hearing will be held by the City Council
of Iowa City, Iowa, at 7:30 p.m. on the
31st day of July, 1984, in the Council
Chambers in the Civic Center, Iowa City,
Iowa; at which hearing the Council will
consider an amendment to the Zoning
Ordinance to bring the Iowa City Municipal
Code into compliance with recent state
legislation regarding manufactured
housing. This notice is given pursuant to
Chapter 414.4 of the Code of Iowa, 1984.

consider the proposed rezoning of certain

St., Iowa City, Iowa, to consider a
proposed easement agreement for signage
between the City of Iowa City Harry A.
Johnson, Jr., dba Mid -City Hotel Associ-
ates - Iowa City. Additional information

Street, Iowa City, Iowa. Paragraph
403A.28 State Code of Iowa requires this
Public Hearing prior to undertaking this
low-cost housing project. The Iowa City
Housing Authority proposes to acquire and
operate ten (10) dwelling units pursuant
to the United States Housing Act of 1937
as amended.
This Act authorizes the U.S. Department
of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to
provide financial and technical assistance
to public housing agencies for the
development and operation of low-income
housing. HUD has published a Notification
of Housing Assistance Availability for the
State of Iowa. The Iowa City Housing
Authority has requested an allocation of
ten (10) dwelling units designed for
occupancy by low-income families. These
units range in size from three or more
bedrooms units. The structure will be
acquired from existing housing units.
Name, possible locations and estimated
costs will be discussed at said hearing.
Funds for development, construction,
and operation can be provided by HUD.
Eligible family occupancy will pay 30% of
family income for rent. For additional
information contact the Housing Coordina-
tor, 356-5138.
