AN bRDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8. 10 THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF IOWA CITY, IOWA, BY REZONING APPROXIMATELY .93 ACRES OF LAND FROM M1 TO R3A. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF IOWA CITY, IOWA: SECTION 1. PURPOSE. The purpose of this ordinance is to rezone all of the area described below from an industrial use to a residential use, consistent with the City of Iowa City's Comprehensive Plan. SECTION 2. AMENDMENTS. Section 8.10 is hereby amended by zoning to R3A the area described below: Commencing at the Northwest corner of Block 8 Of Lyon's 2nd Addition to Iowa City, Iowa, in accordance with the Plat of Survey recorded in Plat Book 3, Page 392, of the Johnson County Recorder's Office; thence S 00000100" W (Assumed Bearing) 360.01 feet, on the East right-of-way line of Van Buren Street to the Northeasterly right-of-way line of the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad and the Point'of Beginning; thence S 75054100" E, 370.12 feet on said Northeasterly line to the center line of Johnson; thence S 00011133" W, 79.34 feet on the center line of Johnson Street extended to a point 23.00 feet normally distant Northeasterly from the centerline of the main Railroad Track; thence N 75°54'00" W, 539.19 feet parallel and 23.00 feet normally distant Northeasterly from the centerline of the main Railroad Track; thence N 14006100" E, 77.00 feet to the Northeasterly right-of-way of the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad; thence S 75°54'00" E, 150 feet on said Northeasterly line to the East right-of- way line of Van Buren Street to the Point of Beginning. Said tract of land containing 0.936 acres more or less and subject to easements and restrictions of record. SECTION 3. The Building Official is hereby auth—wed and directed to change the zoning map of the City of Iowa City, Iowa, to conform to this amendment upon the final passage, approval and publication of this ordinance as provided by law. SECTION 4.
