ROLL CALL.
Item No. 2 - CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE APPROXIMATELY 70 ACRES OF LAND
LOCATED NORTH OF HIGHWAY 1 NEAR WILLOW CREEK. Z-8204. (PASSED
AND ADOPTED)
3�as Comment: In conjunction with the recommendation to annex 70
acres located south of Iowa City, the Planning and Zoning Commission,
at its March 10, 1983, meeting, recommended by a 5-0 vote to
rezone the above-described 70 acres from RIA and CH zoning in the
county to C2. This action is consistent with the staff's recommen-
dation contained in the staff report dated February 10, 1983,
which was included in the Council's agenda material on March 9,
1983. The City Development Board has certified the annexation,
and final action may now be taken by the Council.

Item No. 3 - CONSIDER A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FINAL PLAT OF B.D.I. FOURTH
' ADDITION, A REPLAT OF LOT 1 OF B.D.I. FIRST ADDITION. S-8314.
Comment: The Planning and Zoning Commission, at its regular
meeting held June 2, 1983, recommended approval by a vote of 6-0
the final plat of B.D.I. Fourth Addition subject to final approval
of legal papers related specifically to agreements concerning the
driveway design and a common driveway easement. The Commission's
recommendation is consistent with that of the staff in a report
dated June 2, 1983, and a memo dated June 2, 1983.

SCALE NON-RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR MILLARD WAREHOUSE, A
TEN ACRE DEVELOPMENT
IN B.D.I. FOURTH ADDITION. S-8317.

Comment: The Planning and Zoning Commission, at its regular
meeting held June 2, 1983,
recommended approval by a vote of 6-0
of the preliminary and final Large Scale Non -Residential Development
plan for Millard Warehouse subject to redesign of the driveway
entrance to the development. The Commission's recommendation is
consistent with that the
of staff in a report and a memo dated
June 2. 1983. It is anticipated that all contingencies will be
resolved by the time of the meeting.

Item No. 5 -
CONSIDER A MOTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING, TO BE HELD JUL 5,
1983, ON 25 ADDITIONAL UNITS OF SECTION 8 ASSISTED HOUSING.
Comment: Paragraph 403A.28 State Code of Iowa requires a public
hearing be held
prior to undertaking or expanding this housing
project. An application will be submitted for
25 additional
units of Section 8 exisitng family units. This is an expansion
of the program now administered by the Authority. Units requested
are five
one -bedroom units and 20 two-bedroom. If approved, the
Annual Contributions Contract would be increased
by approximately
$91,000 per year. The Housing Commission and staff recommend
this
action. It is requested that the public hearing be set for
July 5, 1983.)

the members of the City Council of Iowa City, Iowa, and all
being present at a special meeting of the City Council held
at 7:30 o'clock,P•M., on the 14th day of June 19

City, Iowa, do hereby waive any and all requirements of the
calling of a special meeting, pursuant to the Ordinances
and Resolutions of the City of Iowa City, as to notice of time
and place of the meeting and do hereby consent to the holding
of said special meeting for the purpose of ado tion of an ordinance
rezoning approximately 70 acres north of Hwy. 1 near Wil ow
