AN ORDINANCE VACATING VARIOUS PARCELS OF LAND IN IOWA CITY,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF IOWA CITY, IOWA:
Section 1. That the property in Iowa City, Iowa, hereinafter
described be and the same is hereby vacated:
.. The following portion of Xaidon Lane described as follows:
Beginning at the southeast cornor of Lot 4, Block 22, County
Seat Addition which is also the northwest corner of the inter-
section of Lafayette Street and Maiden L:.ne; thence north along
the west lille Of maiden Lane t0 the intersection with a line
that is 35 feet easterly and parallel with the conterline of the
new paving; thunco northeasterly along a line parallel and 35
feet easterly of the cuntorlino of the new paving to its intersection
with the east lino of Maidon Lane; thence south along the cast like
of Maiden Lane to its intersection with the north line of Lafayette
Street extended east; thence west along the extension of the north
line of Lafayette Street to the point of beginning.
2. A portion of Gilbert Street described as follows:
Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 6, Block 2, Lyon's First
Addition which point is also on the east lino of Gilbert Street;
thence south along the cast line of Gilbert Street to the northerly
right-of-way of the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad; tloneu
westerly along the northerly right-of-way of the Chicago, Rock
Island 6 Paciiic Railroad to a point that is 35 foot easterly of
the centerline of the now paving; thence northerly along a line
parallel and 35 fact easterly of the centerline of the new paving
to the extension of the north linelof said lot 6; thence east along
the extension of said Lot 6 to the point,of beginning.
3. The following doscribed alloy:
All that portion of the alloy south of Lot 5 and 6, Block 2, Lyon's
First Addition. I
4, That portion of Gilbert Street described as follows:
That portion of the existing right-of-way of Gilbert Street that
lies east of the cast line of Maidon Lano,south of the south lino
of Lot 12, Block 5, Lyon's First Addition and westerly of a line
parallel and 35 feet westerly fron the cuntorlino of the new paving.
S. All that portion of Linn Street that lies north of the north lisle
of Lafayette Street and south of the south lino of Dos Moines Street.
