Washington Street Iowa City, Iowa 52240 to receive citizen comments concerning the extension of the boundaries of the Iowa City Neighborhood Redevelopment Plan as shown on the map below. The Neighborhood Redevelopment Plan was adopted by the Iowa City City Council on February 1, 1977, to permit the rehabilitation of the City's older neighborhoods pursuant to Chapter 403 of the Iowa Code. Four small neighborhoods within the overall redevelopment area have been targeted for intensive improvements in 1982-84. A study of these targeted areas showed the need to extend the boundaries of the 1977 redevelopment area to the north and east, in order to include additional City blocks in need of improvements. Persons interested in expressing their views concerning the extension of the boundaries of said redevelopment plan, either verbally or in writing, will be given the opportunity to be heard at the above-mentioned time and place. Said plan documents may be examined by the public beginning Monday, December 28, 1981, at the office of the City Clerk Civic Center 410 E.
