Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the City Council of Iowa City, Iowa, at 7:30 P.M. on the 8th day of June, 1982, in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center, Iowa City, Iowa; at which hearing the Council will consider an ordinance amending Section 8.10.3; 8.10.28.C, D, F; { 8.10.28.H.1.(a); and 8.10.29.A, B. of the Zoning Ordinance establishing a "Zoning Code Interpretation Panel" and making it responsible for all zoning interpretations. In the case where a decision cannot be reached by that body, the City Manager will be responsible for the final interpretation. Copies of the proposed ordinance are on file for public examination in the office of the City Clerk, Civic Center, Iowa City, Iowa. Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Iowa City City Council in } the City Civic Center Council Chambers, 410 E. Washington Street, Iowa City, Iowa at 7:30 PM on June 8, 1982, for the purpose of consider-. ing a project for which financial assistance { is being sought from the Urban Mass Transpor- tation Administration, pursuant to the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964, as amended, generally described as follows: i A. Description of Project The project consists of designing and constructing a new Iowa City Transit maintenance, storage, and administrative facility. Federal financial assistance will be used to partially support the engineering and design, construction, ! and furnishings of the proposed facility. The site of this proposed facility is on City owned property at the corner of 1 Highways 6, 218, and 1 directly adjacent to the existing Iowa City Service Building area. A preliminary cost estimate of this facility and furnishings is approximately $2 million dollars, of j which 20% ($400,000) will be from City of 1 Iowa City funds and 80% ($1.6 million) will be from the U.S. Department of Transportation. B. Relocation: No persons, families, or businesses will be displaced by this project. j C. Environment: It has been determined that this project will not have significant environmental impact on the Iowa City urban area. i D. Comprehensive Planning: This project is in conformance with the existing Iowa City Comprehensive Plan and other transportation plans for this area.
