HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-08-31 Public hearingNOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT AND ESTIMATED COST FOR SOUTHWEST INTERCEPTOR SEWER REPAIR PROJECT IN THE CITY OF IOWA CITY, IOWA TO ALL TAXPAYERS OF THE CITY OF IOWA CITY, IOWA, AND TO OTHER PERSONS INTERESTED: Public notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Iowa City, Iowa, will conduct a public hearing on plans, specifications, form of contract and estimated cost for the construction of the Southwest Interceptor Sewer Repair Project in said City at 7:30 p.m. on the 31st day of August, 1982, said meeting to be held in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center in said City. Said plans, specifications, form of contract and estimated cost are now on file in the office of the City Clerk in the Civic Center in Iowa City, Iowa, and may be inspected by any persons interested. i Any persons interested may appear at said meeting of the City Council for the purpose of making objections to said plans, specifications, contract or the cost of making said improvement. The meeting was 'called to order and there were present M. Heuhauser , Mayor, in the Chair, and the following named Council_Members: J, Balmer, C. Erdahl, L. Lynch, J. McDonald, D. Perret. Absent: K. Di The City Council investigated and found that notice of intention to issue Industrial Development Revenue Bonds, Series -1982 (Iowa State Bank a Trust Company Project) in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $3,500,000 had, as directed by the City Council, been duly given according to law. This being the time and place specified in the notice for the conduct of a public hearing on the proposal to issue such Bonds, the Mayor announced that all local residents attending the hearing would now be given an opportunity to express their views for or against the proposal to issue the Bonds. The motion was seconded by Council Member McDonald The Mayor put the question on the motion and upon the roll being called, the following named Council Members voted: Ayes: Balmer, Dickson, Erdahl, Lynch.
