BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IOWA CITY, IOWA: SECTION I. That the property described below is hereby reclassified from its present classification of C2 to R38, and the boundaries of the R3B zone as indicated upon the zoning map of the City of Iowa City, Iowa, shall be enlarged to include the property located at 603 South Dubuque Street and legally described as: The east 90 feet of Lot 1, Block 11, County Seat Addition to Iowa City, Iowa, according to the recorded plat thereof. and The west 60 feet of Lot 1, Block 11, County Seat Addition to Iowa City, Iowa, according to the recorded plat thereof. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23-189 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF IOWA CITY. SECTION 1. PURPOSE. The purpose of this ordinance is to amend Section 23-189 of the Municipal Code of Iowa City so as to reduce the speed limit on the Benton Street bridge from 25 mph to 15 mph for trucks only. SECTION 2. AMENDMENT. Section 23-189 is hereby amended by adding the following exception: Benton Street 15 For trucks upon the Benton Street Bridge over the Iowa River. SECTION 3. REPEALER. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provision of this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. SEVERABILITY. If any section, provision or part of the Ordinance shall be adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such ajudication shall not affect the validity of the Ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. j SECTION 5. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall be in effect after its final passage, approval and publication as required by law.
