AN ORDINANCE VACATING A BLOCK OF COLLEGE STREET IN
IOWA CITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF IOWA CITY,
IOWA:
Section 1. That the street in Iowa City, Iowa
described as follows is hereby vacated:
College Street Beginning at the NE Corner of Block
92, O.T., said point being on the west R.O.W. line
of Capitol Street, thence North along the west
R.O.W. of Capitol Street to the SE Corner of Block
91, O.T., thence west along the South line of Block
91, O.T. to the SW Corner of Block 91, O.T., said
point being on the East R.O.W. of Madison Street,
thence South along the east R.O.W. line of Madison
Street to the NW Corner of Block 92, O.T., thence
east along the North line of Block 92, O.T. to the
NE Corner of Block 92, O.T., said point of
Beginning.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect on the granting by the State of Iowa of
the necessary utility easements across the above
described property, and when published by law.
Passed and adopted this 3rd day of June, 1980.

Council meetings prior to the meeting at which it is to be

Enclosed please find a copy of Ordinance No. 80-2996 passed and
adopted by the City Council on June 3, 1980. This ordinance formally
vacates the right-of-way of the ten block of west College Street.
The ordinance was officially published as required on June 11, 1980.
All that remains is the granting by the State of Iowa of the utility
easements referred to in Section 2 of the ordinance. I am advised
that this should be accomplished in the near future.
I will be happy to address any other concerns you may have regarding
this matter.

80-388 authorizing said conveyance. Please record these documents and

agreed.
Ordinance No. 80-2996 vacating the block of College Street was filed
on June 11, 1980, Book 573, page 79 in the Johnson County Recorder's
office.
I believe this completes our transactions, as agreed.
