Comment: The Planninq and Zoning Commission, at a regular meeting held May 1, 1980, recommended by a 5-0 vote approval of the plat subject to the following deficiencies and discrepancies: 1) the design notes for the proposed storm sewer being provided to the Engineering Division for their review and approval; 2) the limits of the stormwater detention easement being dimensioned from the front property line of each lot, and 3) the legal papers being revised. This recommendation is consistent with the staff recommendation presented in a staff report dated May 1, 1980, which was attached to the Council agenda of May 6, 1980. The contin- gencies noted above have been resolved and this item is now ready %for Council approval. Action: ---- c, Consider a resolution approving the preliminary and final Large Scale Residential Development Plan of nalston Creek 1711 Village. 5-7841. Action: Comment: The Planning and Zoning Commission, at a regular meeting held March 15, 1980, recommended by a 5-0 vote approval of the subject proposed development located west of Gilbert Street and south of Burlington Street subject to the following contingencies: 1) the. Signatures of the utility companies being provided on the plan; 2) the, legal description being completed, including a metes and hounds description and a certification of the registered land surveyor; 3) the sidewalk must continue through the drive on Van Buron Street hack to the existing sidewalk; and 4) the legal papers hying revised. This recommendation is consistent with a staff recommendation presented in a staff report dated March 15, 1979, which is attached to this agenda. Comment: The house at 1004 North Dodge Street has been declared a Dangerous Building by the Building Official. The owner has been notified on several occasions to demolish the building and has neglected to do so. The cost of this demolition will he assessed against the property owner. Bids for this demolition work will be received on May 28, 1980. The City has received several complaints from citizens concerning the hazardous condition of this house. Some windows and doors are broken out and the ceiling and floor are falling in. Small children have easy access to the interior of the building and could he easily hurt. Action: 20b). NIR."........ Comment: The Iowa Natural Resources Council requires full-time project inspection as a safety measure to insure high quality construction. Comment: When the County sold Close Mansion, it left Congregate Meals without a "home" on Saturdays and Sundays. Congregate Meals wishes to use the Recreation Center for meals on Saturday and Sunday until the Senior Center is open.
