COMMENT: To help facilitate the clean up process and reduce the extra expenses that the residents and businesses who sustained interior flood damage are experiencing, the Finance and Public Works Divisions are recommending that the fees for City owned utility services be waived for services incurred in June and July, 2008. This will allow the occupants sufficient time to clean their properties and make decisions regarding future occupancy. The total number of accounts affected is 247 residential accounts in the Parkview Terrace/Idyllwild neighborhoods and 12 commercial accounts in the Stevens Drive/S Gilbert/S Riverside area. This represents 1 % of existing accounts and fees waived are estimated at approximately $20,000 per month. Action: ~~O NO. 5 CONSIDER A MOTION TO ADJOURN TO SPECIAL WORK SESS~ ~~~~ ITEM ~' ~~/may
