Washington St. Iowa City, IA 52240 Dear Ms. Karr, The Johnson County Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee is in need of a member of the Iowa City Council. In the past there has always been a council member that attended these meetings and since the last election this committee has been without council representation because of Bob Elliot's council term expiring. Prior to Bob Elliot being a member Connie Champion served for a number of years. I have discussed this with Mayor Reginia Bailey and she asked that I send you a letter requesting the council add this to their agenda to discuss appointing a member of the current council to start attending these meetings. The CJCC meets the 1~ Wednesday of every month at 4pm at the Johnson County Administration Building in the Board of Supervisors meeting room. Thank you for your prompt consideration of this request.
