M. The officer issuing the - ticket had erroneously marked the time 9:15 ;I took the ticket to the Traffic Clerk at_the .Civic _Center at 8:30 and she initialed the ticket with the correct time. I received a letter dated Jan. 7th from Mary E. 'Mead, the Legal_Secrectary, stating that the ticket was valid. My purpose in writing this letter is not to have the ticket cancelled, although I beleive it should be, but to suggest another sign be placed there reading: NO PARKING,except for unloading,FROM 9:00 to 5:00 MON to SAT. This would correspond to the store hours and the time that the meters are checked. We find that motorists hesitate to park there in the evening and on Sundays. We wish to thank the City Council, City Manager and his staff who were responsible for completeing the street and sidewalk work on Washington_ street before the Christmas Season. Most of the merchants that we talked to had a good Christmasbusiness. Would appreciate a reply.
