CONSIDER RESOLOTION ACCEPTING SANITARY SEWER 7MPROVaUiTS IN
WEDGEWOOD APARTh1ENTS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF IOWA CITY.
Comment:' This resolution accepts the work done by Southgate
Development Co., Inc., on Broadway Street insWedge wood
Apartments Addition. This sewer has been constructed
in accordance with the City's specifications;and the
- staff recommends approval of the resolution.

PUBLIC HEARING TO REZONE THREE PARCELS OF A TRACT OF LAND FROM RIA TO
RIB AND R3A AND FRW 113A TO RIB. Z-.7613.
Comment:
The Planning and Zoning Commission at a regular meeting held on
September 2, 1976, recommended by a 5-0.vote with two abstentions
approval of an application submitted by Plum Grove Acres, Inc., to
rezone the above parcels located west_ of Scott Boulevard and north of
the easterly extension of Washington Street.. At the:request;of the
Commission, approval of the application would result in the change in
location of an existing 113A Zone. 'A staff report dated August 30 con-

- PUBLIC HEARING TO REZONE A'TRACf OF LAND FROM R3A TO PC (Z-7611), LOCATED
ON WFST BENTON STREET (HERITAGE SQUARE).
Comment:
The Planning and Zoning Commission at a regular meeting held on
September 2, 1976, recommended by a 4-3 vote approval of an application
submitted by Heritage Systems to rezone a tract of: land located south
of Benton Street across from Seville Apartments from an R3A 'Zone to'a
PC (Planned Commercial) Zone.' The applicant is desirous of developing
a small neighborhoodconveniencecenter on a 1.25;acre tract at the
above location. In conjunction with:the rezoning application, a Large
Scale Non-Residential Development plan-'was submitted and simultaneously
recommended for approval by the Commission which will be presented .to
the City Council subsequent to consideration of anordinance rezoning
thepropertyto a PC Zone. A staff report dated August 19 regarding
this matter is attached.

SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF IOWA CITY AND IOWA APPRAISAL AND RESEARCH

Comment:
The Department of Housing and Urban Development requires the'fair reuse
value of redevelopment, sites to be updated with new: appraisal evidence
whenever the appraisals on which the value is based are more than eighteen

months old at time of execution of a contract for sale (two appraisals
are required). The appraisals which are on record are now outdated
The City has solicited proposals for appraisal services, evaluated such
proposals received, and selected this firm as one of two to provide
appraisal services.
