WHEREAS, the people who have chosen teaching as their profession
devote much time and energy and, indeed, often make,sacri-
fices to prepare our children for a full and meaningful
adult life; and
WHEREAS, Imva City is blessed {vith many dedicated teachers in all
Public and parochial schools at the elementary, junior and
senior high level; and
WHEREAS, Iowa City is especialAy fortunate to have teachers of the
caliber of Ahs. Shirley Fouts who was chosen Teacher of the
Year in Iowa; and
