Perret relayed the citizen request that the 'lights at:the intersection of Burlington & Capitol be ,turned back on for pedestrian safety. ,!Mayor Pro Tem Balmer 'stated that Council will be discussing the truck embargo on Kirkwood Ave. at the Sept. 25 informal meeting. U.R.-Coord. Glaves explained the / sidewalk on Dubuque Street was temporary & soon would be covered with brick and that the disjoined alley would be connected with:a zig-zag of cement (which is part of the 'overall design). Perret asked that staff check the potholes on the Melrose bridge. .Mayor Pro Tem Balmer noted that City received a grant for approximately $90,000 to; help furnish the Senior Center. 'Roberts requested that Council discuss calendar parking in the near future before winter arrives. ',Neuhauser complimented the P.W. Dept., for the good repair job done on the Summit St. bridge. Melling read a public information notice indicating that a public meeting would be on 10/3/78 at 7:30 P.M. in the Council °Chambers >to explain the process of citizen involvement in the allocation of CDBG funds.
