SECTION I. PURPOSE. The purpose of this 'ordinance,l) , is to amend Ordinance No. 2605 to require that`an establishmentfor which a liquor control license or a beer permit is issued shall be "located on the a:buildin ground floor of 9 and shall contain windows which permit visibility of its interior from the'publicway. SECTION II. AMENDMENT. Section IV Conditions for Approval of License of a Permit-Premises is hereby amended b adding the following: Y 9 F. SECTION I. PURPOSE. The purpose of this Ordinance is to regulate the location of adult businesses in Imu City. SECTION 2. A47v'A11ENr. Section 8.10.12.A I of the Municipal Code of Iowa City is here- by amended by adding the following section:' 11.Adult businesses, such as massage parlors and establish ments mbich feature nude dancers or models: Such establishments may not be located within 500 feet of a'tavern or similar establislunent or another adult business. s .SECTION 3. Required exterior openings for natural light and ventilation shall 'open directly, onto a 'street' or public alley or a yard or court located on the same lot as the building. Section 1405(a) is hereby amended to read as follows: LIGHT` AND VENTILATION. All ,guest rooms, dorm- f itories, and habitable rooms within a dwelling unit j shall be provided with natural light, by means of j exterior glazed openings with an area not less than one-tenth of the floor area of such rooms with a minimum of 10 square feet.
