resolution would allow bids to be received on October 23 at
10:00 a.m. Council would act on the bids that same evening.
This schedule will allow the project to begin this year. However,
the majority of the workwillbe completed next spring.

SANITARY SEWER EXTENSION ASSESSMENT PROJECT AND FOR THE RESOLUTION
OF NECESSITY FOR SAID PRQ7ECT.
Co nent: This hearing is continued from the Council meeting of
September 25, 1979. This project would install sanitary sewer
to five lots on Melrose Avenue, two of which are having problems
with their septic tanks. The estimated project is approximately
$21,000. Public Works Department will make a presentation on
this project at the inforaml meeting of October 8, 1979.

Colmlent:
The Iowa City Municipal Airport Crnmission voted conditional
approval for the construction of the boat ramp at Sturgis Ferry
Park on September 20, 1979. Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding
between
the City and the Airport Ccmnission will permit this
project to proceed.

WHICH WILL OVERHAND THE SIDEWALK ON CLINTON STREET A MAXIMUM OF

Comnent:
This resolution authorizes the Mayor to sign and the City Clerk

to attest an agreement whereby a facade, which will overhang the
sidewalk approximately two feet, may be constructed on the Strub
Building (formerly Roshek's) on Clinton Street. The parties
