I will today notify Che Council of ,,my resignation e[[active January 1, 1975. I have enjoyed tremendously the opportunity to have served on the Council. I believe that my five years as a Council member have been substantially productive and that as i a community we will continue to move ahead. I view this appointment not as the end of any particular involvement, but rather as a broadening of responsibilities and as a larger opportun;_ty to participate in government. The challenge of governmental service in a professional sense while yet remaining in private law practice in this community was, upon reflection, an attractive opportunity. ' In addition, my past efforts-in-the area of inter-govern-- mental relations and the decision-making process will likely continue. I intend to continue to be a participating voice in s our efforts to bring about a fully cooperative intergovernmental "= w: process within this state. In short, I am enthusiastic and confident with regard to the promise of local government.
