WHEREAS, the month of January, 1975,_ has been designated National
volunteer Blood Donor Month throughout the United States;
and
WHEREAS, Iowa City's three hospitals Mercy, University and Veterans
_-- have recently joined together forming the Iowa City Coopera-
tive Blood Assurance Program to increase volunteer donations
of blood; and
WHEREAS, the Iowa City Community has a commitment to fulfill the blood
needs of its residents served by these three health_care
facilities; and
WHEREAS, if you are between 17 and 66 years of age and in good health,
you can help by giving blood at one of these Blood Banks.
