Members Present: Buchan, Bywater, Canter, Farber, Kirk-
man, Richerson, Trumpp

Staff Present: Eggers, Prosser, Westgate, Carter, Kelley,
Spaziani, McGuire

Business: The meeting was called to; order at 7:32 P.M.
by President Buchan. It was the general
consensus that the City Council tour of the
Library would be held Sunday, January 12th
at 12:30 P.M.
Two letters were read by Secretary Kirkman from Dennis Kraft,
Acting City Manager. The first letter indicated that the City
Engineers felt that since the library addition was built before
the OSHA requirements a second egress from the auditorium wouldn't
• be required, but that, we should provide a,second exit from the
3rd floor stack area at an estimated cost of $5,000.00 The Board
directed Mrs. Eggers to follow up the offer from the City for
assistance and proceed with the construction of the stairway.

The other letter indicated that the City Engineers felt that we
shouldn't install roof drains prior to 'repairing the roof, but
instead replace the roof at anestimatedcost of $30,000 Mrs.
Eggers was directed to inform -Mr. Kraft that we would like to
proceed.
The budget discussion proceeded with explanation of three new
main considerations plus a Federal Grant.- A van,,new staff'ng,
and audio-visual equipment were discussed and their rationa�e
presented, and the Grant project was explained. if cutbacks
have to be made the staff priorities were presented.
A motion to accept thepreliminarybudget was adopted. Canter/

A motion to approve the application for a Federal Grant was adopted.

-- - RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE CITY COUNCIL:
1. To approve the location of the proposed ,park in Washington
Park Addition, Part 9, and to consider obtaining an access
to Concord Drive at the northeastern corner of the park.
2. To favorably consider the subsequent revision of the approved
preliminary platofWashington Park Addition, Part 9, but
at the time the revision is submitted, the Planning and
Zoning Commission would desire to review the alignment of
Green Mountain Drive.

Chairman Madsen called the meeting to order and asked if there
were any corrections or additions to the minutes, of the January
9, 1975 meeting. A motion made by Ms Jakobsen`and seconded
by Mr. Galiher to approve the minutes as written carried
