PROCLAMATION -
WHEREAS, there is a growing awareness today of the significant con-
tributions that women have made to our country's development,
its culture, and its social and economic life; and
- WHEREAS, women have enriched our society as, homemakers and mothers
and our community life through dedicated service as volunteers;
and
WHEREAS, their entry into the labor force in increasing numbers has
strengthened and expanded our economy; and
WHEREAS, The United Nations General Assembly designated 1975 as Inter-
national Women's
nter-nationalWomen's Year, thereby recognizing these important
contributions and encouraging continued efforts to remove dis-
criminations and inequities, that may still exist.
